New Super Mario Bros Wii

1989-I remember being upstairs in my parents house playing the “original” Super Mario Bros with my big brother in 110 degrees due to no AC. It was so hot it felt like the fan was actually a huge economy size blow dryer which my mom gave us because she thought it would keep us from having a heat stroke. LOL! But yet we still sat up there for hours on end. We would come downstairs only when we were on the blink of passing out due to dehydration (I’m really exaggerating but not about the fan). I say all of this because we all know ,or for those fortunate enough to know, how addictive that game was. That summer consisted of getting up, eating cold cereal and marching up the stairs to enter “the room”. The room was furnished by an old army green office chair (that my brother got first dibs on just because), an old brown TV that had the VHF & UHF Tuners, the huge blow dryer, and the most important thing of all…..the Nintendo Entertainment System or better known as NES.
All this reminiscing stems from the upcoming release of the New Super Mario Bros for Wii Systems. I accidently came across it while surfing the net last night. I’m not a huge gamer these days but I’ve grown interest only by watching the trailer and checking out the screen shots. Players can play alone or invite up to three more players to join. While playing in multiplayer mode New Super Mario Bros offers a combo of competition and cooperation. Player can throw their opponents into danger or save them to keep them out of harms way. This in only one synopsis of all the new features. If you want to know more just Google it!
Overall it looks pretty cool and I may have to check into purchasing this one. The release date is tentatively 11/02/09 but can be pre-ordered now for $49.99 thru Game Stop.
