Here is a look you could wear to barnes & noble for a casual date. I love the tee-shirt look with the long sleeve. This is from Comune Spring 2010 collection. Of course, you have the perfect looking guy for this look but I think the everyday dude could rock. I can’t tell if the shoes are hightop or not but it looks as though they are which is cool.
Comune Bio per Website: COMUNE WAS FORMED FROM THE IDEA THAT THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO NOT ONLY EMBRACE THE RAWNESS AND IMPERFECTIONS OF EVERYDAY LIFE BUT USE IT TO CREATIVELY PUSH THE BOUNDARIES OF WHAT’S POSSIBLE IN SKATEBOARDING, FASHION, ART, AND MUSIC THEIR OWN WAY, WITH COMPLETE DISREGARD OF THE CONSEQUENCES.
OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE CLOTHING THAT REFLECTS THIS LIFESTYLE OF CAREFREE IDEALISM AND TO SUPPORT THE PEOPLE THAT CHOOSE TO LIVE IT.

I really enjoy doing the interviews with the local talent and national talent. The opportunity to pick the mind of an artist gives me chills. His or her thought process is amazing to me. God is incredible to have created the human mind. With that being said, here are some pictures from the Sean C. Johnson interview I did recently. Here is the interview.
We did the interview at one of my favorite hang out spots, Coffee Slingers.

Sean headed to work.

Me headed in to do what I enjoy!

Can we take your order please? We did the interview at Coffee Slingers.

This is a really cool shot!

Me breaking it down for Sean on why I should be on the album. Lol…

Can we say chillin.

Sean answering a question about music.

I remember when there was a time we couldn’t text, IM, facebook, etc. Lol…

My man P. Jilla showing off his skills as a photographer. Thanks PJ!

Sean & I checking out the interview. Sean is pretty funny.

The hallway between the bike store and coffee shop.

My mom came out with me to do this interview. She had fun!

Celebrity Clothing Lines by Lauren Hill

Celebrity Clothing Lines
When I usually hear that a celebrity is putting out their own clothing line, I think “wow how original!” (being a bit sarcastic). Many actors, and movie stars think since they have the capital that is needed to launch a clothing line that they should be able to “just do it”. I do applaud them for their entrepreneurial spirit and finding other avenues outside of their normal realm, however in order to have a successful label there’s a bit more that is required other than money. Fortunately, there are a few celebs that have done a good job at creating a successful clothing brand that is unique and actually fashionable. Now, I will give the disclaimer that these two lines that I chose to spotlight are not the most economically reasonable, especially considering the current conditions. But a purchase from either line will surely stimulate the economy!
William Rast:
While watching the Grammy Special hosted by Katie Couric, I found out about Justin Timberlake’s clothing line, William Rast, which he and his childhood friend partnered to build. From the bit that I saw on the Grammy Special, I was intrigued. Justin spoke of how he actually goes into the plants to make sure that the clothes are being properly produced, and how he helps select the designs, fabrics, and even down to the threads that are of William Rast. Immediately I researched the line and happened to stumble upon a few of the items on sale. Without trying on the blazer, I took a risk and ordered it online, and was pleasantly surprised of the fit. The cut of this jacket is perfect and just what I wanted. I was looking for a blazer that I could wear in multiple settings, such as work and play. William Rast had the perfect selection for me, and it was on sale!
William Rast’s name was created from Justin’s grandfather’s first name, William, and his co-creator’s, Trace Ayala, grandfather’s last name, Rast. I think that’s pretty cool and sparked my interest even more in the brand. There seemed to actually be thought put into this venture. Timberlake wanted this brand to represent a lifestyle, not just a trend. The line launched on it’s own in this year’s Fall Fashion Week in Bryant Park, after it’s rocky start in 2005 under the People’s Liberation brand. The designs of William Rast depict a “new America”. The label demonstrates this new yet old school look with acid
wash skinny jeans for men and women, distressed denim, studded leather jackets, ruffled white tops for women, oversized flannel plaid shirts, and motorcycle jackets. This line brings me an early 90s/bar/biker/Guns and Roses feel. Justin chose two of his favorite and most trusted designer friends, the Lindberghs, who assisted in bringing William Rast into fruition.
The creativity, risk, evolution of current fashion culture and GQ Magazine’s most fashionable man have created a brand that is unique and looks to thrive in it’s up and coming existence. Check it out if you haven’t! www.williamrast.com
Rachel Roy:
Although Rachel Roy may not be what you typically think of as a celebrity, she married into the lifestyle. Rachel Roy is married to the former record label partner of Jay-Z, Damon Dash. They met when Roy became an intern at Roca-wear, and later
became the creative director of the women’s and children’s division. Rachel’s genuine interest in fashion made the transition into the fashion world, pleasurable work.
Rachel Roy launched her eponymous collection in 2005. I like Rachel’s designs because they are for the modern day woman, who works, takes care of her children, but also wants to look good. Her designs are usually feminine with a hint chic, but each piece seems to possess an edge that makes a statement to the world that you are in touch with fashion. The Rachel Roy collections are those that are refined and alluring. The label seems to truly represent Rachel. It gives us a little of her Indian background through the fabrics and designs, while showing an edge with the statements that the clothing makes by the fashion forward creations. All of the pieces look comfortable and are made for the urban woman who wants to create an everyday look that says I am sophisticated, and elegant, but I have an edge. Corduroy Blazer X The Fit

Style has many definitions. Why? Because so many people have their on style and look. Which I love. I think the “fit” of this jacket is dope. It gives off as a nerdy type cool look. I would quickly rock the snug fit but YOU MUST HAVE THE RIGHT SHAPE. Somethings that makes a look work is a person’s body structure.
